With basketball season soon coming around the corner, a common knee injury seen with younger athletes is an ACL tear (pain in front of the knee). This occurs with other sports involving jumping movements as well. Studies have shown that neuromuscular training can reduce the risk for this injury by 51%, by simply incorporating lower body strength exercises and increased landing stabilization throughout the sports season. Some rehab exercises we like to provide for most knee related injuries and ACL injuries include:

 • Nordic hamstring curls

• Lunges

• Heel-calf raises

• Jump/hop and hold

It’s never too late to start preventative injury rehab. Our Chiropractic Doctors are happy to guide you through an effective program, or answer any questions you might have.
